Outdoor Lighting: Your Options

Step and cap lights. Lights under seat-wall caps and in steps and columns.
In-ground lights. Set into pavers and borders, including at the points of a custom inlay.
Ceiling lights on dimmers. Recessed lights in wood ceilings, on dimmers.
Accent lighting. Fireplace shelves, planters, trees and water features.
Pathways and driveways. Lighting that leads from the driveway to the back patio.

Electrical Planned With Your Project

Electrical planned with the build. We handle the electrical side of your outdoor project with our licensed electrical partner, so it's planned and permitted with the rest of the build. Gas and plumbing work is always done by our licensed trade partners.

DOE says good-quality white LED products are expected to last 30,000 to 50,000 hours or more, compared with about 1,000 hours for a typical incandescent bulb.

Permits and HOA approval

Hard-wired outdoor lighting is permitted electrical work, and some HOAs review lighting. We pull the electrical permit and include lighting in your HOA application.

Our Design-Build Process

Design session with Amany. Your project starts at our Jacksonville design studio, where you sit down with founder Amany Youssef and watch your outdoor lighting design take shape live on screen in AutoCAD.
Free AutoCAD design and a custom quote. You get to-scale 3D renderings and a fully itemized custom quote within 24 hours of your consultation, so you know exactly what you're getting.
In-home design visit. Amany comes to your home for an in-person walkthrough, so we look at the project together where you're most comfortable, finalize the details and choose your colors and finishes.
Engineering, HOA and permits handled. We get the necessary engineered documents for every permitted structure, prepare your HOA/ARB package and pull the permits.
Build. We can start most projects within two to four weeks. Our crews follow a build process we've refined over many projects, and you get daily updates.
The AY Advantage. You hold back the final 5% for seven days after completion, so we can take care of any touch-ups before you sign off.

Pergola-to-gazebo makeover with travertine and seating walls, Sawgrass (Ponte Vedra Beach) We removed an aging pergola and outdoor kitchen and replaced them with a custom cedar gazebo with a wood ceiling, a screen enclosure with a motorized retractable screen and a linear fireplace. French-pattern travertine, seating walls, columns and a water feature tie it together, with in-ground lighting for evenings.

You get a fully itemized quote within 24 hours of your design consultation.

Do you install outdoor lighting? Yes. We design and install outdoor and landscape lighting for structures, kitchens and pathways, with our licensed electrical partner.

Can you add lighting to a screen enclosure? Yes. We add lighting to screen enclosures and covered patios, with the wiring handled with our licensed electrical partner.

Do HOAs have rules for outdoor lighting? Many communities review lighting along with fire features and pavers. We include it in the same application so everything is reviewed together. Confirm current guidelines with your association.

Can you wire an outdoor TV under a covered patio? Yes. We plan power and mounting for outdoor TVs and fireplace walls during design.

Do you run underground power to a backyard structure? Yes. Under Registered Underground Utility & Excavation Contractor license RU11066663, we run underground conduit for power out to pergolas, kitchens and fire features.
