Outdoor Lighting Installation in Atlantic Beach, FL

Outdoor lighting for Atlantic Beach patios, steps, seat walls and ceilings, planned in AutoCAD.

The best outdoor lighting is planned before the pavers go down, so wires and fixtures disappear into the design. AY Luxury Designs designs and installs outdoor and landscape lighting, serving homeowners in Atlantic Beach, with our licensed electrical partner. West of the dunes, many Atlantic Beach lots back up to marsh or the Intracoastal, which means more wind and sun to design for.

Atlantic Beach Lighting Ideas

  • Seat-wall lights. Lights tucked under wall caps for a soft glow.
  • In-ground paver lights. Fixtures set into the patio surface.
  • Dimmers and zones. Different moods for dinner, a party or a quiet night.
  • Column and post lights. Lights on columns that mark the edges of the space.

DarkSky International recommends aiming outdoor lights downward with shielding, using timers or motion sensors, and choosing warmer colors where possible.

Designing an Outdoor Lighting Design for Atlantic Beach

The streets around Beaches Town Center are some of the most walkable at the Beaches, and backyards there tend to be compact. Near the water, fixtures and connections need to suit salt air, and lighting is aimed down and shielded so it doesn't spill toward the beach.

If new pavers are part of the project, wires go in first so no conduit shows later. Before we draw an outdoor lighting design in Atlantic Beach, we check which paths and steps need light first, what switches and dimmers you want and whether wires can run before new pavers go down. We handle electrical work with our licensed electrical partner, and it's permitted and inspected with the rest of the project.

UF/IFAS notes that lighting along walkways and driveways gives visual guidance and can add safety and value to a home.

Review Boards and Permits in Atlantic Beach

Some Atlantic Beach neighborhoods, such as Selva Marina, have deed restrictions or associations, and the City has its own zoning and setback rules for every lot. Some boards review exterior lighting for glare and fixture style. Confirm current guidelines with your association.

Permits in Atlantic Beach come from the City, not Jacksonville. We prepare the package and submit it online. New circuits are permitted electrical work, and we pull the electrical permit with the rest of your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the price of an outdoor lighting design in Atlantic Beach set? We price each project from its AutoCAD design. How many zones and controls; distance from the panel; new pavers or walls the wiring runs through; the number and type of fixtures; and permits all move the number. Every AY Luxury Designs project has a $10,000 minimum, and the itemized quote arrives within 24 hours of your consultation.

Can lighting be on dimmers or zones? Yes. We can split lighting into zones with dimmers so the yard works for dinner or a party.

Can you light trees in my yard? Yes. Uplights in a tree canopy are one of the best ways to add depth after dark.

Will I need a tree permit in Atlantic Beach? Possibly. Atlantic Beach requires a tree removal permit before larger trees on private property come out. We plan around the trees you want to keep and flag any removal before we design.

Does my Atlantic Beach home need HOA approval for outdoor lighting or electrical work? Many Atlantic Beach homes have no HOA, so the City's zoning is what applies. If your street has deed restrictions or an association, we prepare that package as well. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
