Outdoor Lighting Installation in Fruit Cove, FL
Fruit Cove outdoor lighting that makes the backyard usable and beautiful after sunset.
After dark, a backyard is only as good as its lighting. Steps you can see, seat walls that glow and a ceiling you can dim change how often you use the space. We design and install outdoor lighting for homeowners in Fruit Cove as part of the AutoCAD design, with our licensed electrical partner. Many Fruit Cove homes already have a screened lanai, and many projects extend the paved space just outside it.

Fruit Cove Lighting Ideas
- Seat-wall lights. Lights tucked under wall caps for a soft glow.
- Kitchen task lighting. Light where you cook and serve, without glare in your eyes.
- Tree uplights. Uplights in the canopy add depth to the whole yard.
- Planned with the AutoCAD design. Fixture locations shown in the design so nothing is an afterthought.
Exterior lighting is one of the most-wanted home features, rated essential or desirable by 82% of buyers in NAHB's buyer study.
Fruit Cove Planning Notes for Your Outdoor Lighting Design
Cunningham Creek Plantation and Julington Creek Plantation are two of the larger planned communities in Fruit Cove. Big oaks look dramatic with a few uplights, and they make the whole yard feel larger at night.
If new pavers are part of the project, wires go in first so no conduit shows later. Before we draw an outdoor lighting design in Fruit Cove, we check which paths and steps need light first, where the panel is and how far runs go and which trees or walls are worth lighting. We handle electrical work with our licensed electrical partner, and it's permitted and inspected with the rest of the project.
UF/IFAS notes that warm-white LEDs below about 3600K are harder for insects to see, while cooler-white bulbs attract more bugs.
Review Boards and Permits in Fruit Cove
Fruit Cove includes riverfront homes on larger lots and planned communities like Julington Creek Plantation with their own architectural review. Some boards review exterior lighting for glare and fixture style. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
Fruit Cove is unincorporated St. Johns County, so the county issues the permit and schedules inspections. New circuits are permitted electrical work, and we pull the electrical permit with the rest of your project.

Can you light an existing patio? Often, yes. We look at the patio, the walls and the power during the in-home design visit and tell you what works.
Can lighting be on dimmers or zones? Yes. We can split lighting into zones with dimmers so the yard works for dinner or a party.
Do you work in Cunningham Creek Plantation? Yes. We've completed projects in Cunningham Creek Plantation, and we serve homeowners all across Fruit Cove.
