Orange Park Screen Room Choices
Wrapping a gazebo or A-frame. The structure and screen are designed as one piece.
Hot tub inside the screen. Soak without the bugs, with a pad or build-up planned in.
Fans and lights inside. Wired into the roof or beams so the screened room works after dark.
Retractable screen option. Open the side to the yard when you want, close it when the bugs come out.
Ordinary window screen won't stop no-see-ums: UF/IFAS notes that regular screens don't keep out biting midges, which need a much finer no-see-um mesh.
Before We Draw Your Orange Park Screen Enclosure
Orange Park sits on the west bank of the St. Johns River, with Doctors Lake and creeks running through it, so waterfront exposure and mature trees are common design factors. Many Orange Park families entertain outside year-round, so kitchens, fireplaces and fire pits are popular here. Water views and bugs go together, so a screen enclosure with our expanded-view upgrade keeps the view open and the mosquitoes out.
The doors are where most enclosures go wrong. We place them for the walk to the grill, the yard and the side gate, not just where the framing is easiest. Before we draw a screen enclosure in Orange Park, we check how the enclosure meets your existing roof, where the doors should go for daily traffic and where fans and lights can be mounted.
Approvals and Permits in Orange Park
In Orange Park, review depends on the neighborhood: Eagle Landing and Oakleaf have architectural review boards, while many older streets near the river have none. Boards usually look at screen and frame colors, the enclosure's height and how it meets the roof. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
Most Orange Park addresses, including Eagle Landing and Oakleaf, are unincorporated Clay County, where additions get a site pre-review before the building permit. Every permitted structure gets its necessary engineered documents.
The Florida Building Code has its own section for screen enclosures, and it requires their structural members to be designed for wind from two directions.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a screen enclosure in Orange Park cost?Every project gets a custom quote with an in-person AutoCAD design, and every AY Luxury Designs project has a $10,000 minimum. What drives the cost of a screen enclosure in Orange Park: the roof style (screen only or under a solid roof); the expanded-view upgrade; doors and retractable screens; lighting and fans; and engineering and permits. You get a fully itemized quote within 24 hours of your design consultation.
Can a screen enclosure have a solid roof?Yes. A screen room with a solid roof keeps the rain off and still lets the breeze through.
Can you screen in a gazebo?Yes. A gazebo can sit inside a screen enclosure, and our expanded-view upgrade keeps the frame lines clean.
Do you work in Eagle Landing?Yes. Our Eagle Landing projects include a black cypress pergola with a custom stone wood-burning fireplace. Eagle Landing has its own architectural review, so confirm current guidelines with your association.
Does my Orange Park home need HOA approval for a screen enclosure? Many Orange Park homes have no HOA, so local zoning is what applies. If your street has deed restrictions or an association, we prepare that package as well. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
Do I need a permit for a screen enclosure in Orange Park?In most cases, yes. In Orange Park, permits come from Clay County or the Town of Orange Park, depending on your address. We pull the permits and schedule the inspections, and every permitted structure gets its necessary engineered documents.
