Pavilion Builder in San Marco, Jacksonville, FL
A place for a crowd: pavilions for San Marco backyards, planned with the walkway and the floor.
A pavilion is the gathering place at the back of the yard. AY Luxury Designs designs pavilions, serving homeowners in San Marco, planned in AutoCAD with the walkway, the floor and what goes underneath. Older homes, mature trees, narrower lots and the St. Johns River give San Marco backyards character, and a design has to fit the house.

Planning a Backyard Pavilion in San Marco
Long dining table. Room for a crowd under one roof.
Kitchen underneath. Cook and serve in the same space.
Matching roofline. Roof and columns finished to suit the house.
Walkway to the house. A paver path that connects the pavilion.
Like other open-sided shelters, a pavilion is not a lightning shelter; NOAA lists picnic shelters and pavilions among structures that are not safe in a thunderstorm.
What Shapes a Pavilion in San Marco
The neighborhood's shops and restaurants center on San Marco Square and its fountain, a short walk from many homes. Facing water, the roof edge is set so the view starts right at the seating.
A pavilion's size comes from what goes under it, so we lay out the table, the kitchen and the lounge first. Before we draw a pavilion in San Marco, we check the footprint for the table and kitchen, how the roofline matches the home and setbacks on your survey.
Gazebo and pavilion overlap in everyday use: Merriam-Webster lists each word in the other's synonym list.
HOA, Historic Review and Permits in San Marco
In San Marco, most homes have no HOA board and no historic review. Individually designated landmarks are the exception. For a pavilion, review boards usually ask for elevations, the roofing and how far it sits from neighbors. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
The City of Jacksonville permits San Marco projects through JaxEPICS. We file and track the permit for you. Every permitted structure gets its necessary engineered documents.
