Pavilion Builder in Del Webb Nocatee

Backyard pavilions for Del Webb Nocatee homes, finished to match the house.

A pavilion is a larger roofed structure built for gathering: a dining table for a crowd, an outdoor kitchen, a lounge with a TV, or all three. AY Luxury Designs designs and builds custom pavilions for homeowners in Del Webb Nocatee, with the roof, columns and finishes matched to your home.

Del Webb Nocatee Pavilion Ideas

  • Freestanding gathering space. Set out in the yard or at the end of a walkway, sized for how many people you host.

  • Long dining table. Room for a crowd under one roof.

  • Lounge with a TV. A covered living room in the yard.

  • Walkway to the house. A paver path that connects the pavilion.

Like other open-sided shelters, a pavilion is not a lightning shelter; NOAA lists picnic shelters and pavilions among structures that are not safe in a thunderstorm.

Before We Draw Your Del Webb Nocatee Pavilion

Del Webb Nocatee and Del Webb Ponte Vedra are two separate 55-and-over communities, each with its own clubhouse and association. We've completed several projects in Del Webb Nocatee, from a pergola over a curved outdoor kitchen to a grand A-frame gazebo with two kitchens. Builder lanais are often too small for a table, so a roofed extension that looks original to the house is one of the most common first projects.

A walkway makes a freestanding pavilion feel connected to the house, so we usually design one with it. Before we draw a pavilion in Del Webb Nocatee, we check how the roofline matches the home, where power has to run and the view from the pavilion.

Gazebo and pavilion overlap in everyday use: Merriam-Webster lists each word in the other's synonym list.

Approvals and Permits in Del Webb Nocatee

Projects in Del Webb Nocatee go through the community's own architectural review, on top of the Nocatee master rules. For a pavilion, boards typically look at its footprint on the lot, its height and its distance from the property lines. Confirm current guidelines with your association.

In Del Webb Nocatee, permits come from St. Johns County. We file the clearance sheet and the permit application, record the Notice of Commencement the county requires for most permitted projects, and schedule the inspections. Every permitted structure gets its necessary engineered documents.
