Outdoor TV Wiring: Your Options

• TV above the fireplace. Power and mounting planned into the fireplace wall.

Electrical Planned With Your Project

Electrical planned with the build. We handle the electrical side of your outdoor project with our licensed electrical partner, so it's planned and permitted with the rest of the build. Gas and plumbing work is always done by our licensed trade partners.

Outdoor fans carry location ratings: damp-rated fans are meant for covered spaces protected from direct rain, while wet-rated fans can handle direct rain, such as under an open pergola.

Permits and HOA approval

New circuits for TVs and speakers are permitted electrical work. We pull the electrical permit with the project.

The National Electrical Code has required ground-fault (GFCI) protection on outdoor receptacles since the early 1970s, according to the CPSC.

Our Design-Build Process

1. Design session with Amany. Your project starts at our Jacksonville design studio, where you sit down with founder Amany Youssef and watch your TV wall wiring plan take shape live on screen in AutoCAD.
2. Free AutoCAD design and a custom quote. You get to-scale 3D renderings and a fully itemized custom quote within 24 hours of your consultation, so you know exactly what you're getting.
3. In-home design visit. Amany comes to your home for an in-person walkthrough, so we look at the project together where you're most comfortable, finalize the details and choose your colors and finishes.
4. Engineering, HOA and permits handled. We get the necessary engineered documents for every permitted structure, prepare your HOA/ARB package and pull the permits.
5. Build. We can start most projects within two to four weeks. Our crews follow a build process we've refined over many projects, and you get daily updates.
6. The AY Advantage. You hold back the final 5% for seven days after completion, so we can take care of any touch-ups before you sign off.

Financing is available through Synchrony Bank, including 18 months of no-interest financing, and we have other financing options as well.

Cedar gazebo, screen enclosure and outdoor kitchen, The Coves (Sawgrass Players Club) An expansive A-frame cedar gazebo tied into the home's roofline, with a linear gas fireplace and TV wall, inside a screen enclosure with our expanded-view upgrade, over marble laid in a French pattern with an outdoor kitchen and a new door opening into the house.

You get a fully itemized quote within 24 hours of your design consultation.

Can you wire an outdoor TV under a covered patio? Yes. We plan power and mounting for outdoor TVs and fireplace walls during design.

Can I put a regular TV outside? We plan the TV location under the roof, away from rain and direct sun, and we'll talk through outdoor-rated options with you during design.

What happens if I build without HOA approval? Associations can require changes or removal and may levy fines. We don't start a structure in a planned community until the approval is in hand.
