A-Frame Gazebo Builder in Twenty Mile
A-frame gazebos for Twenty Mile homes, designed in AutoCAD and matched to the roofline.
An A-frame gazebo gives a covered patio height and drama: a vaulted gable roof attached to the house, a wood ceiling, a fan on the ridge and room for a fireplace or kitchen. AY Luxury Designs designs and builds A-frame gazebos for homeowners in Twenty Mile, including overframes that convert an existing lanai roof into one continuous A-frame. Think of it as a gazebo with a peaked roof, most often attached to the house as an A-frame patio cover.

A-Frame Gazebo Options in Twenty Mile
Attached to the house. A gable roof that meets the existing roof cleanly.
Overframe on the lanai. Convert an existing lanai roof into one continuous A-frame.
Detached A-frame. An A-frame gazebo can also stand on its own out in the yard.
Fireplace or TV wall. A focal point under the gable.
The EPA reports that shaded surfaces can be 20 to 45°F cooler than the peak temperatures of unshaded materials.
Before We Draw Your Twenty Mile A-Frame Gazebo
Each Twenty Mile neighborhood has its own association, so we start by confirming which guidelines apply to your street. Twenty Mile Park has a family pool with lap lanes, a dog park, a playground, athletic fields and a pavilion. Builder lanais are often too small for a table, so a roofed extension that looks original to the house is one of the most common first projects.
A gable that matches the house's other gables is what makes an A-frame look original. Before we draw an A-frame gazebo in Twenty Mile, we check whether an overframe of the lanai is possible, how high the ridge can go and where the fan and lights mount.
Any roof over a patio can cut the daylight reaching nearby windows, but daylighting research from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory shows taller, sloped ceilings spread light deeper, so a raised, pitched A-frame ceiling can keep more daylight reaching the home than a low, flat cover.
Approvals and Permits in Twenty Mile
Twenty Mile reviews exterior changes neighborhood by neighborhood, and the Nocatee master rules apply to all of them. For an A-frame, boards usually look closely at the roof pitch, how the new gable meets the existing roof, and the roofing color. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
In Twenty Mile, permits come from St. Johns County. We file the clearance sheet and the permit application, record the Notice of Commencement the county requires for most permitted projects, and schedule the inspections. Every permitted structure gets its necessary engineered documents.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum budget for an A-frame gazebo in Twenty Mile?Yes. Every AY Luxury Designs project has a $10,000 minimum. Beyond that, the cost depends on fireplace, kitchen and TV; screens; the floor; the size; and engineering and permits, and your fully itemized custom quote comes within 24 hours of your consultation.
Will an A-frame make my patio brighter?Usually, yes. The vaulted roof lifts the ceiling so more light reaches the patio and the rooms behind it.
Can an A-frame be screened?Yes. An A-frame can sit inside a screen enclosure or have the screen built around it.
Can you add a screened room for the kids in Twenty Mile?Yes. Screened space with shade is one of the most common requests here, and we plan it in AutoCAD.
Does an A-frame gazebo in Twenty Mile go to the HOA?Yes, it does. In Twenty Mile, Nocatee's published guidelines ask owners to get written approval before installation, and each neighborhood adds its own. We prepare what the board asks for, and the decision is the board's, so confirm current guidelines with your association.
Who permits an A-frame gazebo in Twenty Mile?An A-frame gazebo is a permitted roof structure tied into your home. Building permits for Twenty Mile homes go through St. Johns County, and registered associations are notified automatically when exterior work is filed, so your HOA is part of the process from the start. Every permitted structure gets its necessary engineered documents.
