Pool House & Pool Bath Builder in St. Augustine, FL

St. Augustine pool houses and pool baths, styled to match the home.

We design structures around the backyard, and a pool house or pool bath is one of them. For St. Augustine homeowners we plan it with the rest of the outdoor space so it looks like it was always there.

St. Augustine Pool House Ideas

  • Pair with a cabana or pavilion. Shade and a place to sit right outside the door.

  • Finishes matched to the home. Roof, trim and colors chosen to match the house.

  • A covered porch. A roofed edge to sit out of the sun.

  • Planned in AutoCAD. See the building on your lot before anything is built.

That yellow dust on Florida patios is often pine pollen, which UF/IFAS says is actually low-allergenic.

Planning a pool house or pool bath in St. Augustine

Downtown, the City's historic districts protect the look of the street, so outdoor rooms there are designed to sit quietly behind the house. Out west near I-95, communities like SilverLeaf, Shearwater and Trailmark have younger homes and open backyards ready for a first project. Newer homes often have simple rooflines that are easy to tie into cleanly.

Setbacks often limit where a small building can sit, so we check them before we design. Before we draw a pool house or pool bath in St. Augustine, we check how the roof matches the house, where shade is needed and how it reads from the street.

Shade makes a real difference: the EPA reports that shaded surfaces can be 20 to 45°F cooler than the peak temperatures of unshaded materials.

Approvals and Permits in St. Augustine

In St. Augustine, the review that matters depends on where you live: a community architectural review board in places like SilverLeaf, Palencia or Markland, the City's historic review downtown, or simply the county's rules on an older street. For a pool house, review boards often want elevations and the distance from property lines. Confirm current guidelines with your association.

Whether your home sits inside the City of St. Augustine or in unincorporated St. Johns County decides who issues the permit and whether historic review applies. We confirm your jurisdiction from your address before we design, and the county requires a recorded Notice of Commencement for most permitted projects. Every permitted structure gets its necessary engineered documents.
