Outdoor Ceiling Fan & Heater Installation in Fruit Cove, FL

Comfort in July and January: fans and heaters for Fruit Cove outdoor rooms.

A fan makes a covered patio bearable in a Northeast Florida summer, and a heater keeps it usable on a cool January evening. AY Luxury Designs plans and installs outdoor ceiling fans and patio heaters for homeowners in Fruit Cove, placed in the ceiling layout of the structure we design, and wired with our licensed electrical partner. Fruit Cove isn't a city, so permits come from St. Johns County even when the mailing address reads Jacksonville or St. Johns.

Fan and Heater Options in Fruit Cove

  • Ceiling fans on the ridge. A fan on the ridge beam of a wood ceiling.

  • Heaters in the headers. Mounted so they warm the seating area.

  • In a screen room. Fans in a screened room keep the air moving when the screens are closed.

  • Planned with lighting. Fans, heaters and lights laid out so nothing competes.

Fans cool people, not rooms: the breeze creates a wind-chill effect, according to ENERGY STAR.

What Shapes a Fan and Heater Layout in Fruit Cove

Riverfront Fruit Cove lots can slope toward the water, so steps and raised patios come up often. Trenching near big trees is routed to protect the roots.

Heaters warm people, not air, so mounting position and direction matter. We plan them over the spots you sit most. Before we draw a fan and heater layout in Fruit Cove, we check the ceiling or beam each fixture mounts to, where switches belong and whether the screens stay closed most of the season. We handle electrical work with our licensed electrical partner, and it's permitted and inspected with the rest of the project.

ENERGY STAR recommends running ceiling fans counterclockwise in summer for a cooling breeze.

Review Boards and Permits in Fruit Cove

Some Fruit Cove homes are in planned communities like Julington Creek Plantation or Cunningham Creek Plantation with an architectural review board, and some older riverfront lots have no HOA at all. HOA review usually focuses on the structure, not the fans and heaters inside it. Confirm current guidelines with your association.

Permits for Fruit Cove homes come from St. Johns County. The county requires a recorded Notice of Commencement before the first inspection on permitted projects. New circuits are permitted electrical work, and we pull the electrical permit with the rest of your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the price of a fan and heater layout in Fruit Cove set?We price each project from its AutoCAD design. The number of fans and heaters; the structure they mount to; circuits and controls; distance from the panel; and permits all move the number. Every AY Luxury Designs project has a $10,000 minimum, and the itemized quote arrives within 24 hours of your consultation.

How many fans does a patio need?It depends on the size and shape of the space. We place fans over the seating in the AutoCAD design.

Where should patio heaters go?Over the seating, mounted so they warm people rather than the roof. We plan them in the ceiling layout.

Is Fruit Cove permitted by St. Johns County?Yes. Fruit Cove is unincorporated St. Johns County, so the county issues permits, and in most cases a clearance sheet comes before the building permit application. We handle all of it.
