St. Johns Outdoor Kitchen Wiring Ideas
Outlets where you'll use them. Including outlets inside the kitchen base.
Circuits for appliances. Fridges, ice makers and other powered appliances.
Fans and TV nearby. Planned on the same layout.
Switches grouped. Kitchen lights on their own switch.
Keeping a grill clean matters: NFPA found the grill had not been cleaned in roughly one-fifth of grill fires.
Before We Draw Your St. Johns Outdoor Kitchen Electrical Project
St. Johns (32259) covers a lot of ground, from Julington Creek down to the newer communities to the south, and the lots change from wooded to wide open along the way. Mill Creek Plantation and Oxford Estates sit on larger, wooded lots where a structure can stand out in the yard. Near water, every outdoor circuit and outlet is planned with protection for wet locations.
Grouping switches means the kitchen lights, fans and TV each work on their own. Before we draw an outdoor kitchen electrical project in St. Johns, we check how far the kitchen is from the panel, where outlets sit in the base and where the kitchen gets wet. We handle the electrical work with our licensed electrical partner, so it's planned and permitted with the rest of the build.
UF/IFAS notes that warm-white LEDs below about 3600K are harder for insects to see, while cooler-white bulbs attract more bugs.
Approvals and Permits in St. Johns
In St. Johns, expect a review board. We find out whether your neighborhood follows master guidelines, village rules or both before we design. Kitchen wiring itself is rarely an HOA question, but the kitchen and any roof over it usually are. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
St. Johns is in St. Johns County, which requires a building permit for most improvements and, in most cases, issues a clearance sheet before it accepts the building permit application. The county also keeps a list of registered architectural review associations that are notified when a permit application for exterior construction is filed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an outdoor kitchen electrical project in St. Johns cost?Every project gets a custom quote with an in-person AutoCAD design, and every AY Luxury Designs project has a $10,000 minimum. What drives the cost of an outdoor kitchen electrical project in St. Johns: what they power (fridges, lights, fans, TV); the distance from the panel; underground runs; the number of circuits and outlets; and permits. You get a fully itemized quote within 24 hours of your design consultation.
Can you run power to a kitchen away from the house?Yes. Underground runs are planned with the design and permitted with the project.
Can a TV go near the kitchen?Yes. We plan TV power on the same layout as the kitchen so switches and outlets don't crowd each other.
Do you work in Celestina and Cimarrone?Yes. Our projects include work in Celestina and Cimarrone, and we serve homeowners all across St. Johns.
Will my St. Johns HOA review outdoor lighting or electrical work?In most cases, yes. Most St. Johns neighborhoods are planned communities with their own architectural review, and many larger ones have village or sub-association rules on top of the master guidelines. We put the package together and handle the submittal with you. Confirm current guidelines with your association.
